Botox

Botox (Botulinum toxin) is a food toxin derived from a bacteria called Clostridium botulinum. Botox is injected into the muscle in the troubled area through special needles. Blocks electrical conduction to the muscles from the nerves, temporarily reducing or eliminating muscle function in the affected area.

Where are Botox used?

  • On the horizontal lines in the forehead area,
  • On the lines between two eyebrows and leading to the appearance of a frowny eyebrow
  • When both eyebrow side lifts,

Does Botox Have Side Effects?

Other side effects noted with very few are: pain in the face, redness in the needle area, muscle weakness. These effects were usually temporary and on few occasions for several months.
